Teaching Objectives
Based on the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, with children being the centre of focus, the school has developed an appropriate school-based curriculum to promote the balanced development of children in the areas of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills, aesthetics, and spirituality. It aims to lay a solid foundation for children to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, explorers, innovators, and adaptable individuals.
Teaching Strategies
- Provide life education based on biblical principles, creating a learning environment of friendliness, respect, acceptance, and appreciation.
- Utilize story-integrated teaching methods and extended activities from theme learning to facilitate children’s all rounded development.
- Establish an open and diverse learning environment, using play to connect various learning domains, to inspire children to reach their potential.
- Active teacher student interaction during small group teaching activities to cater to the diverse developmental needs of children.
- Aligned with thematic learning, various learning corners and field trips are set up and organized to provide meaningful real-life experiences to enrich children’s learning.
- Native teachers to teach English and Putonghua to lay a good foundation for trilingualism.
- Diverse music and physical activities to enhance children’s gross and fine motor skills, artistic appreciation, and creative expression.
- Using a spiral curriculum approach, children’s learning progresses from simple to complex, enabling children to transition smoothly to primary education.
- Conduct regular comprehensive observations and assessments of children, allowing teachers and parents to better understand their developmental needs and provide appropriate support.
- Establish close partnerships with parents through various communication channels, working hand in hand to nurture the children.
