Learning Objectives and Strategies

Teaching Objectives

Based on the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, with children being the centre of focus, the school has developed an appropriate school-based curriculum to promote the balanced development of children in the areas of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills, aesthetics, and spirituality. It aims to lay a solid foundation for children to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, explorers, innovators, and adaptable individuals.

Teaching Strategies

  1. Provide life education based on biblical principles, creating a learning environment of friendliness, respect, acceptance, and appreciation.
  2. Utilize story-integrated teaching methods and extended activities from theme learning to facilitate children’s all rounded development.
  3. Establish an open and diverse learning environment, using play to connect various learning domains, to inspire children to reach their potential.
  4. Active teacher student interaction during small group teaching activities to cater to the diverse developmental needs of children.
  5. Aligned with thematic learning, various learning corners and field trips are set up and organized to provide meaningful real-life experiences to enrich children’s learning.
  6. Native teachers to teach English and Putonghua to lay a good foundation for trilingualism.
  7. Diverse music and physical activities to enhance children’s gross and fine motor skills, artistic appreciation, and creative expression.
  8. Using a spiral curriculum approach, children’s learning progresses from simple to complex, enabling children to transition smoothly to primary education.
  9. Conduct regular comprehensive observations and assessments of children, allowing teachers and parents to better understand their developmental needs and provide appropriate support.
  10. Establish close partnerships with parents through various communication channels, working hand in hand to nurture the children.
