School History and A Look into the Future

History and Background

Our school is a kindergarten directly under Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. It was founded in September 1945 as the affiliated Kindergarten of St. Paul’s Co-ed school. In September 1949, it was renamed to be St. Paul’s Private Kindergarten, and in September 1953, it was finally named to be Sheng Kung Hui Kindergarten. A branch school was established in September 1975 and was named Sheng Kung Hui Kindergarten (Mount Butler).

Relocation to Temporary Campus

In September 2012, the two schools moved out of their original premises to a temporary campus at 7 Eastern Hospital Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Upholding the school’s developmental goal of building on the past to open up the future, they embarked on the gradual and phased merger of the two schools.
By September 2014, the two schools were officially merged into one, named Sheng Kung Hui Kindergarten, continuing to uphold the Christian spirit of “not to be served, but to serve” and providing quality whole-person education for the children, allowing them to learn and grow in the love of Christ.
